Tiny Tots is a nursery school program for children 2 ½ - 5 years of age.
Our CurriculumOur curriculum takes into account key perspectives of Montessori and Reggio Emilia. Montessori education is characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits and respect for a child’s natural psychological development. The Reggio Emilia approach, developed by Loris Malaguzzi, is a program based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment.
Areas Of LearningClassroom materials are grouped in similar areas of learning and lead the children from initial concrete concepts to later abstract learning. Children learn through the "hands-on" approach:
Music and MovementOur Music and Movement program is for children 3 ½ - 5 years of age. This eight week program will offer a combination of singing, dancing, games and yoga. Please dress your child in comfortable clothing and athletic footwear. Children are asked to bring a yoga mat and labelled water bottle.

Here’s an opportunity to get out in the community and meet other moms and dads while your children have fun interacting and playing with other children in a safe and fun environment. Various gross and fine motor activities will be available, as well as crafts that parents can do with their child. Parents may bring a light snack and drink for their child. We are a “nut aware” centre” and request that no nuts or nut products be brought into the centre.
Parents must supervise their child at all times.
Third Wednesday of every month. Last class March 15, 2017.
9:30 am - 11:30 am
Kids Club ProgramKids Club is a before and after school childcare program for school aged children (kindergarten through grade six). The program runs Monday - Friday, September - June. If you require summer care, we offer summer day camp for selected weeks in July and August.
Our Kids Club program provides warm and caring staff who offer a curriculum similar to the foundations of our nursery school program that consists of a mixture of Montessori, Reggio Emilia and play-centered care. Both teacher directed and child directed activities are provided.
We currently have children attending Dieppe School, Beaumont School, Charleswood School and Roméo Dallaire School.
Registrations are being accepted for our wait list for the 2016-2017 school year. We have a limited number of kindergarten spaces available each year. If you are looking for care for the current school year, please call the centre to inquire about available space.
Our facility’s operating hours are from 7:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday - Friday.
