- Repairs to eavestroughing and roof drainage
- Minor repairs to out buildings
Shout Outs ...
A big Roblin Park "thank you" goes out to:
- Richard Pound for his dedication and years of service as Secretary on the Board of Directors. Good luck Richard as you pursue your MBA degree.
- All the volunteers who came out to "paint the lines" on the outdoor rinks on December 16th.
- The Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Boston Pizza Foundation for the donation of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in the main hall. Also to those community members who attended the training session on December 8th.
- All the volunteers who made the 18th annual Rob/West Fall Classic hockey tournament a success! We had a total of 98 games played, with a registration of 96 teams. Thank you to Sandy for organizing the Roblin Park portion again this year. Thank you for all the families that pulled double shifts to complete one of our biggest fundraisers of the year.
- The Westdale Junior High grade 9-2 class, who cleaned up the Roblin Park grounds on October 14th as part of the school's EnviroThon fund raiser.
- All the people who helped out with the outdoor rink repairs in September. Thank you to Dan and Werner for arranging the supplies and providing the tools. Thank you to the following families that came out to lend a hand: Carswell, Fournier, Gowler, Laminman, Legare, Lewis, Lucovic, Lyon, Mingotti, Peters, Redmond, Strausz - and any we may have forgot!

Charleswood's Winter Wonderland
There's still lots of winter left to come and enjoy all that Roblin Park has to offer! We have three outdoor rinks, plus a fourth "pond rink" and a large, meandering skating loop. As well, two toboggan runs and pre-school sized "snow mountains" will keep the whole family thrilled. We even provide the crazy carpets.
Our facilities are open weekdays 4:30 pm - 10 pm and weekends 10 am - 6 pm, weather permitting. Conditions are excellent, even with the lack of snow.
Come watch the TSN Jets channel on the new big screen TV in the skate change area and enjoy free wi-fi internet access. |
